I didn’t take too many photos while in San Francisco, so here are a few random shots that I did take

The bart is such a great mode of transportation it spreads out the entire bay area, even going under the water next to the bay bridge

SF is know for it’s extremely steep hills some even have stairs to help you get up and down them

The bart station I went to on my way back to the Oakland Airport, as you can see it’s in the middle of a freeway. On this particular day it was extremely cold and pouring down rain. So with the cars zooming by on each side regardless of the roof above me, I still got wet from the cars wheels spraying it up and the heavy winds..

I have always wanted to take the challenge of walking across the Golden Gate Bridge, to me that bridge is pure beauty.

A couple months back when we visited San Francisco, we also spent a day in the State Capital (Sacramento). And I just realized today that I never shared any of the pics…While we were there we saw both the State Assembly (which was in session at the time) and the Senate Chambers. However we were not allowed to photograph these rooms.

One of my favorite parts of going to San Francisco was our trip to Alcatraz as I’ve always wanted to go there and check it out. I will share just some of the pics here in this post. You may find the rest of our alcatraz trip here.

We were laughing at this couple and I just happen to make a comment about their glasses and they gave Brandon a pair, and posed with him they were cracking me up through the tour as I kept running into them.

I know I still have posted pics from my Frisco / Sacramento trip. For some reason I just have no desire to go through them. Today I took my friend up to Julian for a slice of pie and a cup of coffee followed by a very short walk around town.

Where we had our pie, people drive from all over to have some Julian Apple Pie, we didn’t let the pie sit long enough on our plates to take a picture of it.

And just a picture of me standing around with my pudgy nose and double chin, lol…

Today my friend left for the Bay area for 2 weeks. She bought a 1 way ticket because she was unsure of the day she wanted to return. After I dropped her off at the train station I started to think of a grand idea. Anyhow I asked her when she thinks she is coming back and she mentioned the 1st of June (two weeks away). Well anyhow all this year I’ve been saying to myself that I was going to buy a car and that I also wanted to go to San Francisco to spend my much needed time there (a spiritual thing).

So this is my mission, to work enough in the next two weeks to get my rent and car paid and then have extra money to go up there on Wednesday or Thursday May 29th (have Brandon out of school for a day or two) and drive back with my friend on Sunday. If I want this bad enough I will do it. The idea alone has me so excited…

Here is my inspiration to go, it’s such a beauty

When you spend 7 hours in transportation to have a 3 hour visit with a friend you must be crazy right? Not to me, but that is just the way I am. Yesterday I went to see Jeni. Usually I would take an hour drive up there but now that I’m car less it’s not so fast or easy. It takes about 10 minutes on the city bus, to get to the trolley station, 60 minutes on the trolley, a 10-15 minute wait to board the Amtrak then another 100 minute train trip from San Diego to Irvine. You spend your time with the incredible cute Sophie, Jeni and Soenke to turn around 3 hours later and repeat it all over in reverse. On the way home though was a little different having to stand for 40 minutes of the trip being how we chose to come home on the rush hour commuter train. So what do you do between little naps? You take totally unneeded photos of what your staring at turn it into a mini collage and then blog them.

Alot of the trip is alot of dirt and mountains while you pass through military training camps and such but then you get alot of nice views like this as well

Finally we get back to San Diego and have to wait for our trolley, this particular station is in a few movies as well as Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition video game
