Possible San Francisco Trip

Today my friend left for the Bay area for 2 weeks. She bought a 1 way ticket because she was unsure of the day she wanted to return. After I dropped her off at the train station I started to think of a grand idea. Anyhow I asked her when she thinks she is coming back and she mentioned the 1st of June (two weeks away). Well anyhow all this year I’ve been saying to myself that I was going to buy a car and that I also wanted to go to San Francisco to spend my much needed time there (a spiritual thing).

So this is my mission, to work enough in the next two weeks to get my rent and car paid and then have extra money to go up there on Wednesday or Thursday May 29th (have Brandon out of school for a day or two) and drive back with my friend on Sunday. If I want this bad enough I will do it. The idea alone has me so excited…

Here is my inspiration to go, it’s such a beauty

Was a lil bummed that he left his jacket on but he still looks good regardless…

2007-2008 School Picture

Here is Brandon’s 2007-2008 School Picture, he decided he didn’t want to give his big beautiful smile. We were unable to get his hair done before his picture and he was a little down about that.

He is still a cutie though, sorry the scan didn’t come out that great

Back into Things

my medsWell yesterday I finally went and got my prescription filled yesterday. I haven’t been taking my meds for almost 2 weeks YIKES!!! I need to transfer my prescriptions to the pharmacy down the street instead of where it is now, cause it’s just a pain when you don’t have a car. I knew I had to get them and get back on them before Rochelle and Angela found out and got really upset at me for not taking them. They don’t want the old me with the serious mood swings coming back, shoot I don’t think anyone wants that.

So not only have I gotten back onto my meds, but Brandon is now back in school. He started his first day of middle school today. He had a good day, he said that he noticed the kids here seem to be alot nicer then they were at his last school. I think it’s just the fact it was the first day. It was kinda weird when I was sitting here at home alone and I kept thinking that he was just in the other room. When he came home he walked up with the kid who lives down the hall from us. I think it’s just so funny that we have lived here for about 9 months and he is just now talking with these kids.

I am so relieved that he is back in school now, so I can concentrate more on work. It’s way to hard for me to try and work when he is always around walking in and out of the room asking questions, needing this needing that…the sound of the tv changing channel all things that distract me. This doesn’t mean that I won’t miss him and that I don’t love him but as most of all you know, you need a break and if you can get that break while they are at school for 6+ hours then woo hoo!

Brandon this morning right before walking out the door…

Back to School

Well Brandon starts School tomorrow, only this time he makes his big change as he goes into Middle School. Just the other day I was thinking, Oh my School starts up and I haven’t gotten anything for Brandon yet. I didn’t even have the money to do so. So I was thinking, ok he has some clothes that I just bought him during the summer (that still fit, he is growing like a weed these days), I have some paper, pens and pencils. He has his old backpack (but its showing it’s wear), and I can afford to buy him folder. But thankfully yesterday I was able to get a new client right in time (I LOVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS) and life will get better so I don’t have to stress over money so much as nobody should have too.

So today I call up a few people to see if they still need to do their shopping. And I was able to catch a ride with Angie to Target. Brandon and I could of taken the bus or walked but when it’s 90-100 degrees outside you try to avoid that if at all possible. And this way I can buy a lot more things, always best to try and buy everything you might need for the year before school, cause you find the greatest prices on supplies, .10 cents for this .50 for that. So I went crazy as you see. But total over all was only $220.00 and this included cleaning supplies and some new flip flops for me.

Here is the list of school supplies we bought.

1 – Camouflage Backpack $13.99
1 – 3 Ring Binder $15.99 (Brandon wanted one with a speaker in it to hook up to I-pod’s and CD players, but I told him you go to school for an education not to listen to music besides it cost $30.00)
10 – 70 count college ruled notebooks $.10 each
5 – 150 count wide ruled filler paper (didn’t have college ruled) $.30 each
10 – report cover folders $.10 each
1 – 3 pack yellow highlighter pens $1.79
1 – 2 pack scissors $0.89
1 – 6 pack glue sticks $1.00
1 – notebook dictionary $3.79
2 – portfolio folders $.99 each
1 – 10 pack of blue pens $.50
1 – 10 pack of black pens $.50
1 – 20 pack of sheet protectors $1.98
1 – 8 count pack of erasures $.79
1 – 8 count pack of pencil/pen grippers $.99 (a lil special request of Brandon’s)
1 – 60 count #2 pencils (is there such a thing as #1’s or #3’s ?) $3.99
4 – composition books $.50 each (want these for Brandon to star writing like a daily journal to improve his writing and his writing skills)
1 – 12 count erasable colored pencils (didn’t know that colored pencils were not already erasable) $3.44
1 – 64 count crayons (in case he needs them for a project also good to have for younger kids like nephews and nieces who come over) $3.24

supplies

I didn’t buy so many clothes mainly because he has the ones I bought him this summer but will also go in the next few weeks to a month to buy more. That is when I’ll probably hit up Marshall’s to buy him some nicer stuff. Didn’t want to drag Angie all over town.

1 – 5 pack of t-shirts
1 – 5 pack of a-shirts (aka wifebeaters*)
2 – 6 packs socks
1 – 4 pack of boxer briefs
1 – pair of khakis
1 – pair of jean shorts
1 – pair of olive green shorts
6 – multiple color t-shirts (grey, brown, red, black, olive green, white)
2 – printed t-shirts (baseball and football)
1 – hooded black sweat jacket
1 – pair of shoes

clothes

Ok enough of the senseless post, time to get back to work.

Wifebeaters: The term originates from frequent depictions in popular culture of aggressive American men, usually living in poor conditions (such as living in a trailer) and having low income, beating their wives and/or children while clad in this shirt. (information borrowed from wikipedia
