Finally got fish

Well I finally have added life to my tank. For the past 3 months it has had nothing in it but the live rock and what ever little creatures that were in the live rock. I ordered a reef cleanup crew package with the following..

Scarlet Hermit Crab: 20
Blueleg Hermit Crab: 20
Turbo/Astrea Snail: 25
Peppermint Shrimp: 5
Emerald Crab: 5
Coral Banded Shrimp: 1
Cleaner Clam: 2

I also bought a clown fish and a goby fish. Here are some pictures

Here are my shrimp and emerald crabs going through their acclimation period.

My New Tank

Tonight I had one of my long time dreams come true when I got a 80 gallon salt water fish tank. Words don’t seem to describe how happy I am. I don’t have any fish yet (have to wait about a week before I can get any) but I pretty much have it all set up. The only thing i’m thinking of doing is rearranging the rocks a little more so some of them stack up higher. And place a solid color blue or black background in the back so I don’t have to see cords hanging down.

Here are a couple pictures only hours after getting it delivered.

As you can see I wanted to have it in my dinning room for two really important reasons, 1. Alot easier to fill up and to drain and 2. So I can admire it when I should be working (I work from my dining room table, which now will probably be downsized to allow more room in my kitchen/dining room)

The water is still a lil foggy but is clearing up every minute.

My New Fish

A few of you might know that my Striped Peacock Eel (Macrognathus siamensis) I had some how jumped out of the tank one night and committed suicide a while ago. Last week I decided to finally replace him.

I went back to the store today and picked up a Violet Goby (Gobioides broussonetti) aka a Dragon fish.

What can I say I like weird (or some would say UGLY fish) so here they are

Here is my Eel (sorry it’s a lil blurry)

And my Dragon Fish

Little Friends

Last week I went to the pet store to buy some more fish and a few accessories that were needed for my tank. One of the guys that worked there saw me with Brandon and Armando (Angela’s Son) and mentioned the two Anole lizards they had for sale with the whole set up and how cheap it was, only $30.00 yes I fell for it and bought it. The whole set up would cost about $90-100 normally if all purchased separately. If your wondering how i’ve been buying things. I’ve been selling things i’ve been lugging around that I have no need for to buy things I want or need.

Here is the set up in Brandon’s room
