Total Time: 2 hrs 2 mins

Prep Time: 2 mins (or less)
Wait Time: 2 hrs (approx)

Ingredients:

1-2 cups water

Directions:

1. Take the trays out of the freezer and over to the sink and fill them with cold water.
2. Carefully place the water filled ice trays back in the freezer.
3. Shut the door to the freezer.

Of course if this is too hard, there is always a second option of going to your local store/mart and for a couple of dollars getting a bag of pre-made ice.

The 1994 movie Immortal Beloved staring Gary Oldman as Beethoven is one of my favorite movies about him, his music and these letters.

The letters below were found in Beethoven’s desk after he passed away. They were not addressed to anybody, so it is impossible to know exactly who he was writing to. However historians feel they were written to a married woman who he loved dearly, and who was leaving the city at the time of these letters.

July 6, in the morning

My angel, my all, my very self – Only a few words today and at that with pencil (with yours) – Not till tomorrow will my lodgings be definitely determined upon – what a useless waste of time – Why this deep sorrow when necessity speaks – can our love endure except through sacrifices, through not demanding everything from one another; can you change the fact that you are not wholly mine, I not wholly thine – Oh God, look out into the beauties of nature and comfort your heart with that which must be – Love demands everything and that very justly – thus it is to me with you, and to your with me. But you forget so easily that I must live for me and for you; if we were wholly united you would feel the pain of it as little as I – My journey was a fearful one; I did not reach here until 4 o’clock yesterday morning. Lacking horses the post-coach chose another route, but what an awful one; at the stage before the last I was warned not to travel at night; I was made fearful of a forest, but that only made me the more eager – and I was wrong. The coach must needs break down on the wretched road, a bottomless mud road. Without such postilions as I had with me I should have remained stuck in the road. Esterhazy, traveling the usual road here, had the same fate with eight horses that I had with four – Yet I got some pleasure out of it, as I always do when I successfully overcome difficulties – Now a quick change to things internal from things external. We shall surely see each other soon; moreover, today I cannot share with you the thoughts I have had during these last few days touching my own life – If our hearts were always close together, I would have none of these. My heart is full of so many things to say to you – ah – there are moments when I feel that speech amounts to nothing at all – Cheer up – remain my true, my only treasure, my all as I am yours. The gods must send us the rest, what for us must and shall be -

Your faithful LUDWIG.

Evening, Monday, July 6

You are suffering, my dearest creature – only now have I learned that letters must be posted very early in the morning on Mondays to Thursdays – the only days on which the mail-coach goes from here to K. – You are suffering – Ah, wherever I am, there you are also – I will arrange it with you and me that I can live with you. What a life!!! thus!!! without you – pursued by the goodness of mankind hither and thither – which I as little want to deserve as I deserve it – Humility of man towards man – it pains me – and when I consider myself in relation to the universe, what am I and what is He – whom we call the greatest – and yet – herein lies the divine in man – I weep when I reflect that you will probably not receive the first report from me until Saturday – Much as you love me – I love you more – But do not ever conceal yourself from me – good night – As I am taking the baths I must go to bed – Oh God – so near! so far! Is not our love truly a heavenly structure, and also as firm as the vault of heaven?

Good morning, on July 7

Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us – I can live only wholly with you or not at all – Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits – Yes, unhappily it must be so – You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you. No one else can ever possess my heart – never – never – Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves. And yet my life in V is now a wretched life – Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men – At my age I need a steady, quiet life – can that be so in our connection? My angel, I have just been told that the mailcoach goes every day – therefore I must close at once so that you may receive the letter at once – Be calm, only by a calm consideration of our existence can we achieve our purpose to live together – Be calm – love me – today – yesterday – what tearful longings for you – you – you – my life – my all – farewell. Oh continue to love me – never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.

ever thine
ever mine
ever ours

Hugs are used to express affection, to comfort, and to show happiness, among many other uses. For most people, hugs are one of the most common forms of love and affection.

Those who who really know me, know that I love to give deep long hugs, specially to my significant other. Crazy that lack of hugs in a previous relationship was a huge issue for and started most of our arguments, because they couldn’t find a couple minutes when they were so called busy.

Top 3 health benefits of hugging as provided by goodrelaxation.com

1. Hugging reduces the risk of heart diseases

High blood pressure is one of the main risk factors for heart disease. Studies have also shown that hugging lowers blood pressure and with it reduces the risk of heart diseases. For people with weak hearts or high blood pressure, this one is probably the most important one from all the health benefits of hugging.

2. Hugging relieves stress and makes you feel calmer

Several studies have shown that hugging makes you happier (what a surprise!). Hugs increase the level of hormone called oxytocin. This hormone is a trigger for bonding and caring responses. This hormone makes you feel calmer and less anxious.

3. Hugging is good for your relationship

When you think about it – it´s pretty obvious. But do you know, how hugging is good for your relationship? Hugging releases the hormones serotonin and dopamine. Those hormones make you feel good and lift your mood. As a result you feel more closer to the person who makes you feel good. Good relationship has also a positive effect on your overall health.

Those were the top 3 health benefits of hugging. But there are also other benefits of hugging that should inspire you to hug more – longevity, stronger immune system and higher self-esteem, and one of my favorites

IT SIMPLY FEELS SO GOOD.

Inspire other people to hug more and share this article about the benefits of hugging.

Rain is amazing. I love rain. I love sitting inside, watching the rain trickle down my window or with the door open enjoying the cool breeze that comes in. As I watch it I love to listen to some nice music, or even better have complete silence except for the fall of the rain drops outside. My favorite part though is how I love the smell after the rain has washed everything away. It’s just so beautiful how nature works.

When I was a child, one of my favorite things to do after the rain is go out to the puddles in our backyard that at times looked like a lake and find worms and sometimes even frogs.

Now while it may be amusing at times to see how stupid these guys act when they get caught, begging to not be shown on TV, to not get arrested and so on, as well as the stories they come up with when asked what they are doing at a “14″ year olds house. However their is nothing funny about their real intentions when getting there. They only say they are sorry because their asses got caught, some of these shows that I have seen make you happy to know that someone was there to stop them. One of episode’s I do remember had this guy with a loaded gun in his pocket, another automatic rifle ready and loaded in his front passenger seat, and an arsenal of weapons and ammo in the back of his SUV. That was really scary to see all that.

It’s so disgusting to know how many sex offenders are out there all over the Country. Have you ever looked at a sex offender map and checked out your own neighborhood? I have and I must say that the first time I ever checked it was years ago and I was totally shocked, I still am because it seems that no matter where you live you are surrounded by them, and that you can’t escape them.

Raising a child in the world can be so very scary. So many things to look out for as they grow older, when they get online you practically have to watch over their shoulders, not so much because you don’t trust them but for their own protection. These kids can’t even go into a kid only website without us worrying about somebody on the site trying to work their way in to the child’s mind to gain their trust. I learned that law enforcement officials estimate that as many as 50,000 sexual predators are online at any given moment.

Then we have to worry about them walking too and from school. To always make sure that you remind them of what to do and not to do if someone comes up to them and to always be alert.

And then not only do we have to worry about the stuff listed above and a million other things I didn’t list. We also have what I think is the worst part, we have to worry about it with our kids teachers, preachers, doctors, all the people we were taught that we should trust, the ones we are supposed to say something too if anything does happen. Instead we or our kids have to listen for key words that are said, or behaviors that could be suspicious.

So I decided to do a search on the internet to see if that came up. It did as well as a few other thoughts.

1. Drugs are for sale in the area

2. That a gang member has died and it’s a way of showing respect. Although for some reason I don’t believe that one so much. As many gang movies as I have seen and a few people I have hung out with in the past, I never heard of that.

3. In one or two places I read that way back when that people that just got done serving in the military would throw up their shoes when they were done.

So what do you think?

I have been using Gmail since 2004. I started using it back in the days while it was still in it’s beta testing and you had to get an invitation in order to sign up. But for the longest time I never really used it. Now I will never use another email system again. Their are so many advantages to using it, far more then I will probably even be able to talk about here.

With Gmail you aren’t tied to one computer to retrieve your email. You can access your Gmail account from any computer that has Internet access – and even your mobile phone! Yes I know that you can do that with Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail as well as many others. But I will point out other great features.

Keyboard Shortcuts: In Gmail to get through your email even faster. To turn these case-sensitive shortcuts on or off, click Settings, and then pick an option next to Keyboard shortcuts.

Conversations: You can organize your replies into conversations. Each message you SEND is grouped with all the responses you RECEIVE. As you receive more responses, the threaded conversation grows and keeps track of it all in chronological order. Next to the Labels feature this is another one of my favorites.

Labels: To help you organize, a conversations/emails can have several labels, so you’re not forced to choose one particular folder for messages. You can also create filters to automatically manage incoming mail. Starring messages is another way you can organize your inbox. This is one of my favorite features to help separate my clients. I have labels using their domain names. I started doing this after I would get a email from an older client and couldn’t remember what I had done for them in the past.

Space: You get TONS of space with Gmail. Instead of wasting time deleting old messages you can archive email which frees up even more space but is still searchable if you ever need it again. I save all my client email conversations so I can go back to them if ever needed.

Spam: Gmail has done a wonderful job with filtering out my spam. Every now and then one slips through, just click on the SPAM button and the spam filters will catch any further incoming mail from the sender BEFORE it ever reaches you.

Yourdomain.com: Instead of using your @gmail.com email address, you can have email addresses like yourname@yourdomain.com. I used to use the webmail feature with my hosting company, however since gmail handles spam so well I prefer to use gmail with my domain emails. To do this, either forward your other email addresses to your main Gmail account or route them there using Gmail’s Mail Fetcher, which downloads messages via POP from up to five other accounts. To set it up, visit the Account and Import tab under Settings. Not only can you retrieve emails using your domain email accounts. You can send using them too without having your return email address look like yourname@gmail.com. Once you set it up, you can choose the address you want to reply from while composing messages in the “From:” address drop down. This too is under Settings on the Account and Import tab.

Canned Responses: This is helpful for business reasons, when it comes to emailing for business, you’re probably used to answering the same questions from customers or colleagues multiple times. That’s where canned responses can save precious time: turn on this feature in Gmail Labs, compose your response once, save it, then use it over and over again. You can create several to use for various reasons.

All the above along with the calendar, document sharing, and chat features are the reasons I use and and love Gmail. Not to mention that most smart phones (my blackberry) have apps that integrate with gmail to sync your contacts and calender with your phone and your gmail account. So if you loose your phone or upgrade to a new one restoring your contacts and calendar to the new phone is a breeze.

Do you use Gmail? What are your thoughts on it? List your pros/cons with it…
