Computer Cleaning

windows_registry.jpgThe Windows Registry essentially stores the information and settings you need to configure your system for one or more users, applications, and hardware devices. Every time you install a new application or a piece of hardware, add a user, or change your PC settings, the change gets registered. When you uninstall a product all traces of it “should” be removed from the registry. Some products handle this well as well as others leave a mess behind.

If you have a new PC you can pretty much leave your registry alone. But if your like me and like to try out new things and are constantly installing and uninstalling software. Well your registry can get a little bloated and slow down your PC. To find out more about your Windows Registry check out this link

Remember you only need to clean out your Windows Registry if you add and remove lots of hardware and software. So if you notice that your PC is getting slower and slower, the Windows Registry is often the culprit. The Windows Registry is like the hall of records for your PC and therefore you should be very careful with it.
