SD Comic-Con 2007
Today Brandon and I conquered our first Comic-Con experience. And when I say we conquered I’m not lying, in the 4 days that it goes on Thursday-Sunday it brings in over 100,000 people from all over. So you can only imagine how crowded it is in there and how hard it can be to get a decent shot. Everyday was sold out and thankfully Brandon’s Grandmother works at the Convention Center so we got our tickets free and requested Friday tickets knowing it would be really crazy on the weekend. So here we go with the pics since they really do say a thousand words…
Find these and many more pictures here in my photo gallery

Outside the Convention Center
Yep were at the right spot
Wasn’t supposed to take these next two shots but I didn’t know till after the fact because there were lots of others taking shots…then we saw the signs and a guy came up to us asking us to not take pictures.
Marina Sirtis - Counselor Deanna Troi from Star Trek - The Next Generation (she actually posed for a few shots for others)

LeVar Burton - Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge from Star Trek - The Next Generation (he didn’t want to look up at anyone)

When this next guy got up on one of the stages everyone went crazy snaping away with their cameras. I had no idea who he was but wanted to go over and find out.
This is Stan Lee and for those who are not familiar with who he is…here is some information taken from Wikipedia: The first superhero group Lee and artist Jack Kirby created was the family the Fantastic Four. Its immediate popularity led Lee and Marvel’s illustrators to produce a cavalcade of new titles. With Kirby, Lee created the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, the Mighty Thor and the X-Men; with Bill Everett, Daredevil; and with Steve Ditko, Doctor Strange and Marvel’s most successful character, Spider-Man. He is also credited along with Kirby with the creation of the Silver Surfer.

When Brandon had to go to the bathroom out in the halls we found this familiar guy roaming the halls, maybe he wanted some Starbucks (I wanted it too till I saw the line that wrapped around the corner). I wanted to have my picture taken with Brandon in this one but the guy was already asked a billion times to pose for pics and I didn’t want him to have to wait while I found someone to take the pic for us, but what do you expect when you show up dressed like that…(lots of Star Wars pics in the gallery)
We even find star wars guys outside roaming the streets of Downtown San Diego
You are too funny
Am I that much of a geek?
hehe That looks like so much fun!
i wish i had gone to this. but im all the way in…well east coast LOL. anyway, glad to see you and Brandon had fun.
i mean….stan lee. it doesn’t get any better than that.
I sent this link to my son, who is visiting my brother in Tenessee. I asked him what he would have done if he were there. He would have got a picture, got his autograph, then faint!
Marlene, if he is there next year I will try to get an autograph for your son
