Car Accident and the FBI
Today has to be one of the most stressfull days of all time for me. I probably shouldn’t have let met self be so stressed out but you would probably freak out too had it happen to you and you had no idea why.
Today started off as a pretty good day. I completed my order for the Home and Garden Party I had on Saturday night. Did a little shopping at Target with Kerri and the daycare kids. Had some lunch relaxed a little.
Then 1:30 comes around, I get in my car to go get my boy from school, then we were going to drop off some shirts that I bought for Angela’s daughter and my two baby sisters for Valentines day. I pull into the parking lot and Im about go down the first isle of parking spots when a SUV pulls out and hits my driver side door. Once again i’m involved in a car accident. Let me count up how many that has been….7 Times i’ve been involved in a car accident in the last 7-8 years and not once has it ever been my fault. That doesnt include the two times that my Galant was hit while parked within one week and two other times in the time I had that car (for a total of 4 hits while parked).
The lady that hit me was an employee of Brandon school. When it first happened she said let me get my insurance papers (after she asked if I was ok). I go to get mine, and she comes over with her name and number and mentions to me that she is a employee of the school. I was like that is all fine and dandy but you being an employee won’t help me in getting my car fixed. So I was a little upset that at first she wouldn’t give me her insurance information. Then she comes out with “well I have a witness that says you were speeding” in which I wasn’t and I have a witness that says I wasn’t. For one it’s a very small parking lot and they are releasing handicapped children at the time so you can’t drive fast, their are people that control the parking lot traffic. So finally she says that it’s not her car that it’s her daughters car. She was able to supply me with her information and we were able to go on with our lives. Her car didn’t seem to have anything wrong with it. My damage was minimum but still enough to get on my nerves lol.

Now the real fun….NOT!!!
While having my little fender bender was a little upsetting nothing stressed me out more then this next part. While on the freeway I get a phone call from Kerri. At first I though she was calling me back to talk about the little fender bender. She say’s “heather i have some interesting information to tell you” or something along those lines.. “I’m like ohh ohh what now?” which is something I commonly say, most of the time joking around.
Anyhow she calls me up to tell me that her friend (who moved into the house I used to live in) went out to get her mail and was approched by two men in black suits asking her if she was Heather and flashing FBI badges. Then asked how long ago I moved out and how long they had lived there. Then asked for their landlords name and phone number. At this time I started freaking out as for the life of me I didn’t know why they would be looking for me. My heart rate jumped up, I could barely breath. I had to tell Kerri I would let her go because I coulnd’t concentrate on driving, talking to her and have this stuff on my mind.
I get to where Angela was and tell her while our kids are in the car. And she did her best to calm me down and said that all I could do was call the FBI when I got home and gave me a BIG hug before I left. Headed to my mom’s after gave her the shirts and we talked about it for a few minutes. Then I went outside to call Mohcine. The only thing that we could all think of is that it was somehow related to him or a friend of his. I asked him if he knew of any reason why the FBI would be contacting me. That if something was going on that he better tell me about it (but said in a nice way). He didn’t know or have any idea why they would be looking for me.
Scared and stressed out of my mind, I go home and look up the local FBI office to make the dreaded phone call. I call them giving them all my information and she said that she couldn’t give me any information that they would be contacting me. I was like ohh joy that didn’t relieve me at all of my stress.
I then decided to call my insurance company and report my accident. They let me know that they would have my adjuster call me once he/she was assigned to ask more questions. Only a few minutes later after I hang up with the insurance company the FBI agent calls me back. It turned out to be that they were contacting me regarding an ongoing case in which a client and I were a victim of. It was regarding a site that I host that was ‘hacked’ back in April of 2006. So they just wanted to get as much information as they could from me. I told the guy how thankful I was for him calling me today rather then tomorrow. About how stressed out I had been all day since I had heard they were looking for me. He understood why I would be stressed out, after all it wasn’t just the local police looking for me but the BIG DOGS, THE FBI. Woo Hoo I can breathe again. I think my stress level went from 100-5 in 60 seconds flat lol.

Holy Crap! If that does not defy every definition of a bad day!! WOW! Thankfully it all worked out and you are all good (except the car owies!)
May tomorrow be a better day!
Ready for this part that I forgot to mention lol.. while at my mom’s house my baby sisters were doing some kareoke and did the song by Daniel Powter - Bad Day
Well, there is nothing like a car accident and a visit from the feds to check if your heart is still working!
Yep it’s still working
wild day
Yeah, this is a little freaky. Just a little.
Yep it sure was a wild day and just a little freaky lol
I know how it feels… The first time i drove, i crashed my father’s car to a tree. Got a broken front and was grounded for a week. And worst my allowance was cut… ’til i get my own car, I have a ford bumper installed. Don’t wanna have the same headache again.
DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!! I would’ve freaked…that is just me. Man you had one heck of a year last year!
