Ready for her blue shiny US passport, her German passport, first class accommodations, and in need of her first manicure I announce Princess Sophie

Princess Sophie

And after a very long day of contractions (I wonder how long Jeni went before getting the epidural) getting her water broken by the doctors then finally getting a c-section here we have a very tired but very happy new Mommy.

Sophie and Mommy

Jeni, you have made one beautiful baby. I am so overly excited right now, and can’t wait to meet Sophie in the flesh when you make it back over to the States.

Soenke, Man I don’t know how you did it. How you made the one Woman I thought would never have kids because of her being so career oriented and turned her into one smiling beautiful new Mom. Great Job

To Jeni’s Mom Joy, I bet you are one of the happiest Grandmothers ever finally getting a Granddaughter after your Son has given you so many Grandsons.

Hugs and Kisses to everyone in both families.

Here are the correct stats

May 22, 2007 at 11:21 p.m. Hamburg Germany Time (2:21 p.m. California Time)

Sophie has Arrivied

May-22-2007

I got the long awaited email from Sally who is a friend of Jeni and I’s and just happens to live in Hamburg. Here it is the email that was sent out to a mass of people world wide….

You are receiving this e-mail because Jennifer has asked me to inform you when Sophie decides to make her grand appearance. True to her princess character, she kept us all waiting. I received a text message in the middle of the night last night, alterting me that Sönke and Jennifer were heading to the hospital. After a very long, hard day, Sophie Celine arrived at 11:24 p.m. Hamburg time (2:24p.m. California time) via Caesarian section.

So far, this is what I was able to gather from Sönke:

4.2 kilos!!!! That’s 9.25 pounds!
53 cm (or maybe 56 cm, he said) long (anywhere from 20.86 to 22.05 inches)
38 cm - head circumference (14.9 inches) .

For those of you across the pond, feel free to send any well wishes to me via e-mail and I will be sure to pass them along to the happy family.

Take care,

Sally

Scared of Dinosaurs?

May-21-2007

DinoI tell ya kids just say the craziest things, and because they are kids you can never really take anything they say to personal.

Tonight Angela and kids came over as always to have dinner. I made a wonderful (at least in my opinion) Lasagne, it was actually my first time making it with out it being frozen and coming out a tinfoil container lol.

So Angela and I are talking and Marlee (her 4 year old daughter) comes up to me and asked me if I was scared of dinosaurs, I told her nope. A few minutes later she needed help turning on the faucet in the bathroom to wash her hands so I go in their to turn it on. She then says to me. “Are you not afraid of dinosaurs because of your big belly and you can just push them out of your way with it?” I just about died laughing but held off for a second enough to say yep that’s it. And started laughing as soon as I walked out to tell her Mom.

A little Bonus now…

Just as I was writing this I got an email from Kerri and she had sent out 2 pictures of my nephew Joshua. On Friday at school they took Kindergarten graduation pictures. So here is little Joshua sporten his little dress pants shirt and tie…

Only Three Post?

May-18-2007

Here it is into the 2nd half of May and I’ve only posted 3 times. In those 3 post I haven’t said much of anything. I haven’t done much of anything these days in regards to being online or in my life. But will point out a few things this month so far.

May 2nd would of been Mohcine and I’s 7 year Anniversary. So I asked him a few days prior if he would like to meet up for dinner. So we went to one of our favorite resturaunts which just happens to be down the street from where I now live.

The first weekend of this month was a totally way over the top emotional weekend for me. Most of it was spent crying and over what? Most of it totally stupid things, and some I have no clue. I figure it was mostly due to new medication I am on since being diagnosed with being bipolar, till it takes its full effect it really messes with you. I also found out that I have hypothyroidism so i’m on medication for that as well.

Second weekend of the month (Mother’s Day weekend) went 100 times better. My first Mother’s day with Brandon since he was first born. We stayed at home till about 1 then went down the local mall. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate going to malls? Thankfully it wasn’t so bad. We went only to see the movie Spiderman 3. We both loved it, it was alot better then the first two in both of our opinion.

Been having wonderful dinner’s with Angela and her kids every Monday as always except this last week it was on Tuesday which wasn’t so bad because then it gave Angela and I a chance to watch Idol together which we hardly ever do.

Received my tickets in the mail for the Queen Latifah concert on Wednesday, also found out that Angela’s Dad and Stepmom are going so more then likely we will all have dinner before the concert. So that will be fun.

Wednesday night was a let down while watching American Idol when they announced that the best singer Ms Melinda DooLittle was going home. Guess it will make next week interesting with Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks in the Finals. We all know that Melinda will get a contract somewhere regardless if she is American Idol or not.

Brandon had been getting fevers 102 and 103 the past 3 nights with headaches started on Tuesday when Angela was here. Brought him in today and the doc had nothing really to say except that he thinks they may have been migraines and migraines with kids are usually brought on by dehydration (so drink some more water Brandon) and can cause fevers. The Doc prescribed him to give/get at least 4 big hugs a day which of course he already gets.

Today after my Brandon’s appointment I found out my Sister who is pregnant is having a boy this time. So Congratulations to her. I wont mention her name because she is paranoid about it, and got all mad and asked me to remove stuff from my blog in reference to her. But yet she has a myspace page, does that make since to you? Ohh well lol.

Today May 18th is also Ms Jeni’s due date. I wonder if Princess Sophie has decided to come out yet over there in Germany.

Tomorrow I was originally scheduled to take my state exam for Notary Public but have put it off till next month on the 16th, dut to not taking the time to study as much as I should because of my emotional status, which is starting to clear up.

And now that it’s 11:30 at night which is way past my bedtime from the past few weeks I’m posting this and heading to bed.

Now that I have caught up I hope to get back into the swing of things. I believe I’m feeling much better.

I haven’t gone to a concert since my senior year of high school back in 1992 when I went with my Mom to see Basia. Before that I went to my first concert with Angela in 1988 to see Oingo Boingo.

I finally get to break the long streak and will be going to see a Jazz concert with Angela as Queen Latifah performs under her given name of Dana Owens on July 10. I am so excited. I searched on youtube to see if I could find a video of some sort of her performing her jazz stuff but only came up with this… Enjoy
